Terms of use.

1. The service

SnapHook generates temporary HTTP endpoints that capture incoming requests so you can inspect them. Sessions are anonymous, held in memory, and purged after 2 hours of inactivity. No account is created and no fee is charged.

2. Acceptable use

SnapHook exists to help you debug your own integrations: verifying what a provider sends, checking headers and payload shapes, and confirming that a callback fires. Use it for that, with test data.

3. Prohibited use

You may not use the service, or any endpoint it issues, to:

• Phish or impersonate. Collecting credentials, payment details or personal data from people deceived into submitting them is prohibited outright.
• Relay or proxy traffic. The endpoints are not an open relay, a command-and-control channel, a botnet callback host, an exfiltration drop or a redirector.
• Ingest sensitive credentials or personal data. Do not send live API keys, access tokens, session cookies, signing secrets, health, financial or other personal records — yours or anyone else's.
• Attack the service or others through it. No load generation beyond the documented rate limits, no attempts to exhaust memory, no probing for other people's session slugs, no circumventing rate limiting.
• Host or distribute unlawful content. The service must not be used to store or pass on material that is illegal where you or the service operates.
• Automate abusive session creation. Scripted session minting beyond the documented budget, or to squat capacity, is prohibited.

Endpoints found to be used this way may be purged without notice, and the service may block addresses to protect availability for everyone else.

4. No confidentiality

A session slug is a capability, not an authentication system. Anyone who obtains a session URL can read every capture in it. Do not treat anything sent to a SnapHook endpoint as private, and do not send anything you would mind a stranger reading.

5. No availability or durability guarantee

The service is free and ephemeral. It may be restarted, rate-limited, changed or taken down at any time, without notice. Captures can disappear early for ordinary operational reasons: a restart, a capacity eviction, the retention limits, or the inactivity purge. Do not build anything that depends on a capture still being there, and do not use SnapHook as part of a production data path.

6. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of SnapHook are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, nor for lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from use of or inability to use the service. This includes loss of captures, whatever the cause.

8. Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you send to the service and for holding any rights needed to send it. If your use of an endpoint causes a claim against the operators, you are responsible for it.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated; the date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
